More than 6 months, 30+ hrs/week Only freelancers located in the United States may apply. Growth operator seat: paid media (Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, mobile marketing), promotions and ad creative, CRM and lifecycle marketing, and marketing analytics, owned end to end by one person and leveraged by an in-house AI/API platform. Remote (US), full-time, $8,000 to $12,000 per month depending on experience, plus a quarterly performance variable, at a Nevada-licensed, Las Vegas-based interactive gaming company. 1099 for the first 90 days, then W-2. Real Gaming is hiring a Head of User Growth to own the full player-growth P&L: acquisition, activation, monetization, retention, win-back, referral, and high-value player preservation. The core of the job is acquiring quality users who convert and stay, not driving signup counts. This is a growth operator role: senior, single-owner, reporting to the CEO. You set strategy, own the economics, and approve anything irreversible. The work is done with AI and APIs: AI-assisted data analysis, campaign execution, and reporting against our in-house lifecycle/CRM platform. Experience using APIs and AI, and AI with APIs for data analysis, is central to the role. You get the tooling a ten-person team would normally need: direct API access to the growth platform, AI operators for analysis, copy, audience builds and reporting, and clean data. Your job is to direct it and own the numbers, not to staff it. You own the budget end to end, with clear approval rails for the irreversible moves. Compensation and structure: $8,000 to $12,000 per month depending on experience, plus a quarterly variable of up to 20% of base tied to cost per incremental paying user and payer retention against agreed targets. The engagement starts on a 1099 contract for the first 90 days and converts to W-2 employment on mutual fit. The interview process includes short practical exercises, starting right away. This is a single-employer seat. We are not hiring a fractional CMO or a firm. If you hold a small outside advisory or fractional engagement that does not touch your hours or focus here, tell us; that is fine. If you run your own agency or consultancy, this is not the role. What you'll own: - The growth P&L: quality of acquired users first (paying users, retention, lifetime value by source), then cost per incremental paying user across paid, referral, organic, and reactivation - Lifecycle programs end to end: activation cohorts, monetization offers, recency-banded win-back, VIP at-risk saves, referral economics - Offer economics: every incentive priced in expected cost per incremental paying user before it ships, measured against holdouts - Running paid campaigns on Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, and other channels: hashed audiences, suppression lists, server-side conversion signals, and budget shifts argued from user quality, not clicks or installs - Compliance-grade communications in a regulated consumer market: responsible messaging, claim hygiene, brand vocabulary - AI- and API-driven analysis and execution: audience sizing, offer modeling, copy drafting, and reporting, with you approving live sends, incentive spend, and budget moves You're a fit if: - You have personally run paid and lifecycle for a consumer product for at least 5 years and can show the numbers you moved, not the campaigns you ran - You have owned ad creative and promotions, not just the media buying: you can brief, test and judge creative and design offers that convert - You have real experience using APIs and AI tools for data analysis and growth execution, and you argue attribution from cohorts and holdouts, not platform dashboards - You've personally run Meta, Google, and Apple paid campaigns and can show cohort quality, not just volume - You've worked in fintech or another compliance-heavy consumer vertical: lending, crypto, trading, telehealth - You operate with candor, own your numbers, and are comfortable being the approval gate rather than the person doing the typing Nice to have: - Gaming or other regulated consumer experience (the domain specifics are learnable in the first 90 days if you have the rest) - Email deliverability operations: warm-up ramps, bounce and complaint gates, domain hygiene - Experience with AI agents or LLM tooling in a production growth workflow
