Expert - Est. Budget: $2,500 We are an established B2B branded merchandise agency looking for an experienced Squarespace UX/UI designer and developer to revamp our existing website into a stronger sales-support and lead-generation tool. We already have a detailed site architecture, a 40+ page working wireframe, visual direction, and much of the content. The primary need is UX/UI refinement and implementation — not a new brand strategy or a redesign from scratch. Our goal is to make the website easier for sales reps and account managers to use and share with clients and prospects, while also improving navigation, usability, inbound opportunities, and SEO. What We Already Have * Existing Squarespace website * Detailed site architecture and working wireframe * Visual direction * Existing brand assets * Much of the copy and messaging * Photography and project imagery * Existing case studies and content * Internal graphic design support * Internal business lead for messaging, priorities, and approvals The full wireframe will be shared privately with qualified shortlisted candidates. Phase 1 — Core Sales Website Target launch: approximately October 15 Phase 1 will focus on getting the most important sales-facing sections live quickly, including: * Home page * Main navigation and site architecture * Case Studies * Merchandise * Web Services * Activations & Experiences * B Corp / Impact * Contact / Team * Priority supporting pages * Calls to action and inquiry pathways * Desktop, tablet, and mobile optimization * Basic SEO setup * Page titles, meta descriptions, URLs, and internal linking * Forms, links, and QA The goal is not to complete every planned page before launch. We want a materially improved, highly usable sales website live quickly and will continue building from there. Phase 2 — Continued Buildout After Phase 1 launch, Phase 2 will include: * Expanded case-study archive * News/content section * Additional merchandise lookbooks * Licensing and collaborations content * Fulfillment, warehousing, and kitting content * Additional Web Services pages and FAQs * Additional Activation pages * Expanded B Corp / ESG / Impact content * Partner/community pages * UX refinements * Additional SEO cleanup and optimization * Final site QA and handoff Budget Expected total fixed project budget: approximately $2,500- $3,500 split into two phases. We are open to reasonable milestone adjustments based on the freelancer’s proposed implementation plan. What We Need From You We are looking for someone who can: * Review our wireframe and recommend practical UX/UI improvements * Translate the wireframe into a polished Squarespace website * Build and configure pages directly in Squarespace * Create reusable templates and consistent layouts * Improve navigation and user flow * Ensure excellent mobile responsiveness * Use CSS and light custom code where appropriate * Optimize imagery and page performance * Implement basic technical and on-page SEO * Identify missing assets or content early * Work efficiently with an internal creative and business team * Meet an aggressive Phase 1 launch schedule We need someone who can execute, not simply provide recommendations or mockups.
What We’re Looking For * Strong Squarespace design and development experience with a portfolio of sites you personally built * 5+ years of web design/development experience preferred * Strong UX/UI judgment and responsive design skills across desktop, tablet, and mobile * Experience with B2B, agency, professional-services, or other sales-oriented websites * Experience working from an existing wireframe, architecture, and content strategy rather than requiring a complete redesign process * Ability to create reusable Squarespace layouts/templates that our internal team can maintain after launch * Strong understanding of navigation, information architecture, calls to action, and conversion paths * Comfortable with custom CSS and light HTML/code when Squarespace’s native tools are insufficient * Working knowledge of basic SEO, including page titles, meta descriptions, URL structure, internal linking, image optimization, and site performance * Strong project-management and communication skills, including identifying missing content, assets, decisions, or roadblocks early * Ability to work independently, make practical recommendations, and meet a firm launch schedule * Experience collaborating with internal sales, marketing, and creative teams * Strong written and spoken English * Reasonable availability for communication during U.S. Pacific Time business hours Experience with marketing agencies, branded merchandise, promotional products, sports, live events, or other creative businesses is a plus. We are not looking for a lengthy branding or discovery engagement. The architecture, wireframe, visual direction, and much of the content are already developed. We want someone who can improve the UX/UI where appropriate and then take ownership of implementation in Squarespace. Timeline We are ready to begin immediately. Our goal is to have Phase 1 live by approximately October 15, followed by Phase 2 immediately afterward. You must have sufficient availability over the next several weeks to meet this schedule. How We Will Work Our internal business lead will own: * Website strategy and priorities * Messaging and copy * Content decisions * Final approval Our internal creative team will support: * Photography * Graphics * Existing assets * Case-study materials * Brand resources You will own: * UX/UI execution * Squarespace development * Page construction * Responsive implementation * Technical execution * Website functionality * QA and launch support We expect a short weekly progress review and prompt communication regarding questions or roadblocks. When Applying Please include: * 3–5 Squarespace websites you personally designed and built * A short explanation of your role on each project * Your availability over the next 30 days * Confirmation that you can support the October 15 target * A brief description of how you would approach the project * Any concerns you see with the timeline or scope * Confirmation that you are comfortable with the expected $2,500-3,500 fixed project budget Please begin your proposal with the word “Squarespace” so we know you read the full description. See the attached example pages from the wirefram. A detailed wireframe will be provided privately to qualified candidates before final selection.
