Posted 8 minutes ago Worldwide Summary Build a Custom Internal Dispatch Dashboard for a Golf Cart Rental Company About the Project I own a golf cart rental company on Anna Maria Island, Florida. Every morning we dispatch golf carts to vacation rental properties and pick them up from departing customers. Our current dispatch process is manual and takes approximately 30–60 minutes every morning. I'm looking for an experienced full-stack developer to build a custom internal web application that streamlines this process. This is not a customer-facing application. It is an internal dispatch and operations tool used by our dispatch team. Current Workflow Every morning we: Export reservations from Rent Centric into Excel. Clean and organize the spreadsheet. Import the data into a mapping program. Review the map. Manually assign deliveries and pickups to drivers. Build each driver's schedule. Print or communicate the schedules to our drivers. This process is time-consuming and becomes difficult as the number of reservations grows. Goal Reduce dispatch planning from 30–45 minutes to under 10 minutes by creating a visual drag-and-drop dispatch system. The application should combine mapping, scheduling, truck loading, driver assignments, and route planning into one interface. Data Import The application should import an Excel spreadsheet exported from Rent Centric. Each reservation includes: Cart ID Customer Name Address Event Type (Pickup or Delivery) Delivery Window (11:00 AM or 4:00 PM) No API integration is required for Version 1. Interactive Map After importing the Excel file, every reservation should appear on an interactive map. Initial pin colors:  Pickup  11:00 AM Delivery  4:00 PM Delivery Clicking a pin should display: Cart ID Customer Name Address Event Type Delivery Window Dispatch Board The screen should contain two primary sections. Left Side Interactive Map showing all unassigned reservations. Right Side Dispatch Board. Example: UNASSIGNED SPVU80 – Nick Boyl

Hi there, You're spending an hour every morning doing work a system should handle in five minutes. That's not just inefficient, it's exhausting when you're doing it before the actual workday even starts. The real issue here isn't the manual spreadsheet or the mapping tool. It's that you have three disconnected systems (Rent Centric export, spreadsheet cleanup, mapping program) doing half a job each, and you're the glue holding them together every single morning. What you need is one interface that imports the Rent Centric Excel file, maps every reservation automatically, and lets your dispatch team drag and drop assignments visually while tracking truck capacity and route efficiency in real time. Here's how I'd build this: 1. Excel import parser that reads your Rent Centric export and validates the data (Cart ID, Customer Name, Address, Event Type, Delivery Window). Any missing or malformed data flags immediately so you're not debugging mid-dispatch. 2. Interactive map built with React and a mapping library like Mapbox or Google Maps API. Color-coded pins for pickup, 11am delivery, 4pm delivery. Click any pin to see full reservation details. Every unassigned reservation starts on the left side map. 3. Dispatch board on the right with driver cards and truck capacity tracking. Drag a reservation from the map onto a driver's card. The pin changes color to show it's assigned. The driver card updates with running totals: number of carts loaded, route sequence, estimated time. 4. Route optimization suggestions. Once you've assigned a few stops to a driver, the system can suggest the most efficient order and flag conflicts (like trying to fit 8 carts in a 6-cart truck). 5. Driver schedule export. Print or send schedules directly from the app once assignments are locked. I built something similar for a marketplace platform that needed custom order routing and delivery tracking. Different industry, same problem: multiple manual steps that needed to collapse into one intelligent interface. For Version 1 with no API integration, this is straightforward. Excel in, visual dispatch board, schedules out. We can add Rent Centric API integration later if that makes sense. What does your current Rent Centric export look like? If you can share a sample (sanitized addresses are fine), I can map out the exact import structure and show you a clear build plan. Trust, Tai
