Learndash courses with LTI integration

Hi there, The LTI integration piece is straightforward. The hard part is making sure user provisioning works cleanly across six different platforms when you don't yet know which one each district will bring to the table. I've built and integrated LearnDash with LTI before, and the plugin you mentioned is a good starting point, but it won't handle everything out of the box. Here's what actually needs to happen: 1. Install and configure the LTI Tool connector so LearnDash can receive authentication requests from Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, Moodle, Brightspace, and Google Classroom. Each platform sends slightly different user data and expects slightly different responses, so testing against mock credentials from each is essential. 2. Set up automatic user provisioning in WordPress. When a student from a district LMS launches a course via LTI for the first time, LearnDash needs to create that user account on the fly if it doesn't exist, assign them to the correct course, and log them in seamlessly. This requires custom handling of the LTI consumer key, shared secret, and user mapping logic. 3. Handle grade passback properly. If districts expect course completion or quiz scores to sync back to their LMS gradebook, that needs to be configured and tested per platform. Some platforms are strict about the XML format they accept. 4. Test each platform's quirks. Canvas handles roles differently than Schoology. Moodle sometimes sends incomplete user data. Google Classroom has limitations around what it will accept back. I'll document known issues and provide fallback handling for edge cases. 5. Provide your client with clear setup instructions per platform, including what credentials to request from each district IT admin and how to verify the connection before go-live.
